The bulk of our funding comes from private donors (see our donor page). We have applied for funding from the lottery, and should find out if our application was successful by August 2005. We had 2 fundraisers in 2004: Digital Camera Raffle Olympus sponsored a Camedia 720Z digital camera for our raffle, in which we sold 100 tickets. We had the draw on 17 December 2005, and the camera was won by Claire Armour. Scrapbooking Competition Craftwise magazine sponsored an advertisement in their magazine to publicise this contest, and have sponsored a number of prizes. Chiswick and Scrap Station each sponsored a scrapbooking hamper valued at R1000 and R500 respectively. Numerous other companies have also offered prizes, which we are still awaiting. The competition deadline is 31 January 2005. We will be publishing the winners on this page.The funds raised in this competition will be used for the soup kitchen. |
