The Sunbeam Kids Foundation is a Voluntary Association of Persons, registered under the Nonprofit Organisations Act, 1997 Section 13 as of September 2004. Our NPO number is 034-612-NPO

We are run completely by volunteers - no one receives a salary, so 100% of donations received are used for the children we serve. Our only administrative cost are rent for an office/distribution center (R200), web hosting (R20), and occasional postage.

We may need to employ paid volunteers for certain projects as the need arises, for example once the soup kitchen is fully operational we will need a cook and gardener. In these cases the volunteers will be paid the accepted volunteer stipend of R500 per month.

We have applied for exemption from income tax in terms of section 10(1) and approval in terms of sections 18A on the Income Tax Act, No 58 of 1962.
